Steelers Tight End Gives High Praise to Maxx Crosby

In this story:
Las Vegas Raiders Pro Bowl edge rusher Maxx Crosby has yet to make an All-Pro team, but he certainly has the respect of the rest of the league.
Crosby, who comes off perhaps his best season yet, wreaked havoc on opposing defenses last season, finishing with a league-leading 22 tackles for losses, a career-best 12.5 sacks and 89 combined tackles.
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth was one of the poor souls who had the challenge of blocking the 6-foot-5, 225-pound pass rusher last season.
On Friday's episode of "Pardon My Take" with Barstool Sports' Dan Katz ("Big Cat") and Eric Sollenberger ("PFT Commenter"), Freiermuth was asked who he personally thought the hardest player to block in the league is.
Without hesitation, he replied, "Maxx Crosby."
Freiermuth reflected back on the game on Christmas Eve of last year when the Raiders came to town.
"Dude, I'm sure you can find the clip, but he f----d me up," the 24-year-old tight end said. "Oh, it was so bad. He sent me flying. I looked back, Kenny [Pickett], he can attest to this story, I looked at him, I'm like, 'Dude, what do you want me to do?' He's like, 'I don't know, go low, I guess.' He's Maxx Crosby, he's a hell of a player."
Crosby would post four quarterback hits in that game as the Raiders went on to lose by a field goal.
For Freiermuth, it was only his second season in the NFL.
The young tight end made eight starts in 16 games last season, registering 732 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The season before, in his rookie campaign, Freiermuth made nine starts in 16 games, finishing the year with 497 receiving yards and seven touchdown receptions.
He was drafted by Pittsburgh in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft (No. 55 overall) out of Penn State.
Freiermuth and the Steelers will face the Raiders this season when they travel to Las Vegas to take on the Silver and Black at Allegiant Stadium in Week 3.
