In this story:

The Las Vegas Raiders will spend this offseason looking for ways to improve their team via the NFL Draft and free agency. The offseason is when teams can get better quickly as players get healthy and new players are brought in. This offseason is essential for a team like the Raiders, who were arguably just a few plays away from a playoff berth this season.

Las Vegas' offensive line has three starting five linemen set to hit free agency. The Raiders will likely have a new face in at least one of their positions along the offensive line, and maybe more than that. Naturally, they'll have to find starting-caliber players to fill those holes.

With a quarterback competition, a new offensive coordinator, and a new offensive line coach, the Raiders will focus most of their effort on rebuilding their offensive line, which they should do. The Raiders are a team that was supposed to be driven by their offense. They'll have to take care of their offensive line first if they hope to be successful next season.

However, Las Vegas shouldn't forget to continue building their defensive line. The Raiders have pieces on their defensive line they can continue to build around, such as Maxx Crosby, Malcolm Koonce, and Tyree Wilson. The already improved defense would get even better if their defensive line were a constant threat. Adding talent to the unit would help make that possible.

It is the National Football League, and anything can happen. While the Raiders' defensive line played well this season, they must prepare with quality players behind those three.

The Raiders will likely draft offensive and defensive linemen in the mid-to-late rounds of the draft for depth on their respective lines. Drafting young, talented linemen makes sense, but the Raiders should use free agency to solidify their lines. Experience in the NFL goes a long way, especially on the offensive and defensive lines. After all, that is where games are won and lost.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
