Las Vegas Raiders Team Up with MGM To Tackle Hunger Problem

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders' impact in the community continues with the help of MGM Resorts International as they tackle the ongoing battle to fight hunger in the Southern Nevada communities.
Volunteers from the Raiders organization and MGM came together to prepare food bags containing the essentials needed to provide nearly 9,000 meals for local food-insecure families.
Every year, families across the country suffer in providing meals to their loved ones, which is why events such as this allow both the Raiders and MGM to give back to the families in their communities.
This is not the first time the Silver and Black have collaborated with MGM Resorts in providing food to families in need.
In 2021, both institutions partnered with Three Square and, with the help of volunteers, distributed hundreds of family-sized food bags to community families in need.
“We were honored to partner with the Raiders and Three Square to help alleviate the very real problem of food insecurity in our community,” said Maria Jose Gatti, executive director of philanthropy at MGM Resorts. “As a company, we are committed to embracing humanity every day, and understand our responsibility to contribute to the communities in which we live and work.”
In 2020, the Raiders announced that MGM Resorts would become its Official Gaming Partner of the Raiders and Founding Partner of Allegiant Stadium.
BetMGM also serves as an Official Sports Betting Partner of the Raiders.
At the time of the major announcement, both the Raiders and MGM began their partnership of giving back to the members of the Las Vegas communities.
Raiders Alumni Jim Plunkett, Darren McFadden, members of the Raiderettes, and volunteers created more than 500 hygiene kits donated to veterans residing in Las Vegas.
Additionally, the Raiders have continued to assist Three Square's mission of combating food insecurity in Las Vegas through donations and volunteering services.
The Raiders have donated and distributed food throughout the year, especially during holidays such as Thanksgiving.
