In this story:

The Las Vegas Raiders were without one of their best defenders for over two games, as linebacker Divine Deablo was sidelined by an injury.

While the Raiders' defense played well in his absence, he was undoubtedly missed. Deablo was third on the team in tackles, even after missing time.

Upon his return to the field, Deablo was tied with fellow linebacker Robert Spillane for the most tackles against the New York Jets.

Deablo's presence on the field was a key factor in the Raiders holding Jets running back Breece Hall to under 30 yards rushing and under 50 yards receiving.

The Raiders now turn their focus to the Miami Dolphins, who have one of the fastest and most explosive offenses in the NFL. Las Vegas is fully aware of how potent of an offense the Dolphins have, and they're glad to have Deablo back.

“It's always good to have Deablo back, just in terms of, one, his leadership, his ability to tackle his physicality in the running game, and then the space he covers in the passing game," Raiders' Defensive Coordinator Patrick Graham said.

"You heard [Robert] Spillane talk about it, in terms of what Deablo did on the play to hold the curl to buy Spill [Spillane] time to get there for the interception. It's all tying together, two linebackers who are getting comfortable working together and playing off of each other.”

Miami leads the league in yards per game, points per game and passing yards per game, while ranking third in the league in rushing yards per game.

Las Vegas returning a player the caliber of Deablo to the field will only help a defense that has continued to be a pleasant surprise.

The Dolphins have a roster that contains some of the fastest players in the NFL. Las Vegas will also face a mobile quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, who can stretch plays and stress defenses.

Deablo's ability to stop the run and quick passes, yet also keep up with receivers, changes how opposing offenses are able to play. His return could be a determining factor for Las Vegas against the Dolphins.

The Raiders find themselves at a critical point in their season. As they head to Miami to face one of the best offenses, Las Vegas has the opportunity to save what once looked like a lost season.

Now that the NFL has seven playoff spots per conference, the Raiders are only a few victories away from having a legitimate shot at the postseason.

The Silver and Black will head out on the road to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
