In this story:

The Las Vegas Raiders are slated to play three games on Monday during the 2023-24 season, two being on Monday night and one set for Christmas Day.

It wasn't long ago that the Silver and Black participated in a trio of Monday games, as the Raiders played on three Monday Night games only two seasons ago.

The first, of course, was their epic season-opening win in overtime against the Baltimore Ravens at Allegiant Stadium on Sept. 13, 2021.

Las Vegas found itself down by a field goal with 37 seconds remaining, needing to at least get into field-goal range to tie the game.

It did just that, as two big receptions from Raiders wideout Bryan Edwards would set up Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson, who sent it through the uprights with a 55-yard field goal in the dying seconds of regulation to force overtime.

After failing to score on the opening drive of overtime, the Raiders would allow Baltimore to march to their own 33-yard line with a bit under five minutes remaining.

But Raiders defensive end Carl Nassib's sack of former MVP Lamar Jackson would force a fumble and a recovery by Las Vegas defensive tackle Darius Philon.

The Raiders then clinched the victory with a 31-yard touchdown pass from Las Vegas quarterback Derek Carr to wide receiver Zay Jones.

Only three weeks later, the Raiders were back for another Monday night game, this time on the road against their division rival, the Los Angeles Chargers.

Las Vegas was defeated, 28-14, as the Chargers' winning effort was led by a 117-rushing-yard, 28-receiving yard performance by running back Austin Ekeler.

Of course, the Raiders would get the last laugh in Week 18.

Las Vegas' third and final Monday Night Football game came in Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Down by one point with just under two minutes remaining in the game, the Raiders would need to march into field-goal range from their own 29-yard line.

They executed, and with three seconds left, Carlson came away as the hero yet again, making a 48-yard field goal to seal the victory, 16-14.

The win was particularly significant in that it was the first of four-straight victories that would send the Raiders to the postseason.

Las Vegas will face the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, and then the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day this upcoming season.
