The Las Vegas Raiders and USAA (United Services Automobile Association), the official military appreciation sponsor of the NFL, hosted military members from the Nellis Air Force Base in southern Nevada for the final stop of USAA's Salute to Service NFL Boot Camp of 2023 on Tuesday.

Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell, defensive tackle Matthew Butler and tight end John Samuel Shenker surprised 100 local military service members when the group toured Allegiant Stadium Tuesday.

The three Raiders coached the military visitors through a number of combine-style drills, giving them a taste of what it's like to be a Las Vegas Raider.

The participants were given opportunities to partake in the 40-yard dash, broad jump, three-cone shuttle, receiving gauntlet and the quarterback arm challenge.

Afterward, the visitors were able to take pictures with and receive autographs from the Raiders in attendance and some Raider alumni as well.

According to NFL.com: "Salute to Service represents the NFL's unwavering dedication to honoring, empowering, and connecting with our nation's service members, veterans, and their families. It is grounded in deep partnerships with the Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF), Pat Tillman Foundation (PTF), Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), United Service Organizations (USO) and Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP). Since 2011, more than $65 million has been raised for these Salute to Service partners."

Per USAA: "Founded in 1922 by a group of military officers, USAA is among the leading providers of insurance, banking, and investment and retirement solutions to more than 13 million members of the U.S. military, veterans who have honorably served and their families.
