This Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders will face the New England Patriots for the second straight season at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

When these teams met last year, the Raiders claimed a 30-24 victory over the Patriots.

The Raiders are fresh off a Monday night's 17-13 win over the Green Bay Packers, which ended the Silver and Black's three-game losing streak.

Starting Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo gets to go head-to-head with one of his former teams. This will be Garoppolo's second time going up against the Patriots, and he is 1-0 against them as a starter.

Garoppolo spent his first three seasons with the New England Patriots backing up future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady. Garopollo was drafted in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Eastern Illinois and with the Patriots he passed for 690 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games.

The last time Garoppolo played the Patriots was in 2020, when he was with the San Francisco 49ers. He had a passer rating of 79.5 by completing 20-of-25 passes for 277 yards as the 49ers won, 33-6.

Garoppolo had the opportunity to share his thoughts on his former team post-game after the Raiders' Monday night victory over the Packers.

"Yeah, I haven't watched them much, but it will always be a good test with those guys," Garoppolo said. "They're a good team, coached very well. We know that, so we'll be ready for them. It'll be a good atmosphere here next Sunday."

Last week against the Packers, Garoppolo completed 22-of-31 passes for 208 yards, with one touchdown and one interception.

Garoppolo looks to go 2-0 in his career against the Patriots, as well as leading the Raiders 3-3 record.

The Silver and Black will stay home at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to play the New England Patriots on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 4:05 p.m. EDT/1:05 p.m. PDT.
