3 Things to Watch for as the Raiders Play the Jets

Tonight's New York Jets vs. Las Vegas Raiders game offers three things to watch for as they go head-to-head in Allegiant Stadium.

There are three things to watch for as the Las Vegas Raiders take on the New York Jets tonight in Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season.

It starts with rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell, who will be making his third career start for the Raiders. With a victory tonight in Allegiant Stadium, O'connel would become the second Silver and Black rookie quarterback to win two of his first career starts. He would join quarterback Mike Rae, who had two victories in 1976. With 266 passing yards tonight, O'Connell would have 713 passing yards through his first three starts, which would be the most by a Raiders rookie.

The next player to watch for as the Raiders take on the Jets tonight is All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams. With one reception, Adams would surpass Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice (820) for the ninth most receptions in NFL history among players in their first 10 NFL seasons.

This will be Adams's third game going head-to-head against the Jets. He has 16 catches for 121 yards and has scored one touchdown against the Jets.

Defensive end Maxx Crosby is another player to watch for in tonight's game. With two tackles for loss against the Jets, Crosby would become one of only seven players since the NFL counted tackles for losses in 1999 to reach 80-plus tackles in his first five seasons in the NFL. With eight tackles, Crosby would pass his previous record, 63 in 2022, for the most tackles by a defensive lineman in the first 10 games of a season in Raiders history.

Tonight will also be Crosby's third career game going head-to-head against the Jets. He has four solo tackles, one assist, one sack and one fumble recovery in two games versus the Jets.
