Raiders Opponent: Three New York Jets to Watch

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders will take on the New York Jets at Allegiant Stadium for a Sunday Night Football showdown, the Raiders’ fourth prime-time game this season.
The Raiders are looking to keep pace in the AFC playoff race, and a victory would significantly boost their chances. The Jets are a tough team but also in the hunt.
This game will be a hard-fought battle between two hard-nosed teams with coaches who have instilled cultures that players have bought into.
The Jets have several talented players on both sides of the ball, so let’s look at three players the Raiders will have to key in on if they want to pick up another victory.
Wide receiver Allen Lazard -- Lazard joined the Jets during free agency from the Green Bay Packers, looking to reunite with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers went down due to a torn Achilles tendon, but Lazard still has been a productive receiver for quarterback Zach Wilson. He has caught 19 passes for 273 yards and a touchdown, providing a reliable, big-bodied target.
The Raiders’ secondary must account for Lazard, as he can have a big game. If they don’t, he could find himself in the end zone.
Running back Dalvin Cook -- While Breece Hall is the featured back in the Jets’ offense, it doesn’t get better than Cook as a secondary runner.
Finding a home in New York after being cut from the Minnesota Vikings, Cook has not gotten the volume he would like, but the Jets could benefit from giving him the ball more and getting him going.
Cook has something left in the tank and the Raiders must slow him down when he comes into the game to prevent him from finding momentum.
Linebacker Quincy Williams -- The brother of defensive lineman Quinnen Williams, Quincy Williams has emerged as one of the best young linebackers in the league over the last few seasons.
Coming off of back-to-back 100-plus tackle seasons, Williams has 74 tackles, nine tackles for losses, two sacks, six passes defended, and a forced fumble this season.
Williams is playing like a Pro Bowler, and the Raiders must always pay attention to where he is on the field because he can single-handedly impact the game with his play.
The Silver and Black will head out on the road to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 1:00 p.m. EST/10:00 a.m. PST.
