Jets QB Zach Wilson Speaks About the Raiders' Defense

This Sunday night will be New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson's first game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders defense is coming off one of its best games of the season. In last week's victory over the New York Giants, the Silver and Black defense held the Giants to six points.

In addition, the Raiders had two turnovers and eight sacks, the most sacks the Silver and Blacks have produced in a game since the 2010 NFL season.

In eight games as the Jets' starting quarterback replacing injured Aaron Rodgers, Wilson has completed 160-of-267 passes for 1,600 yards and five touchdowns, with five interceptions. He has a passer rating of 75.4.

Wilson had the opportunity to share his thoughts with the media on the Silver and Black defense, which has been a key factor for the Raiders in the last two games.

"They’re obviously playing lights out, and we have to be better for them," Wilson said. "I don’t know if I’d say we feel pressure, but we need to do something. We need to score points. It’s not good enough, and we understand that. I wouldn’t say pressure because I think, as an offense, we know it’s close, and it sucks because we keep saying close.

"I get sick of that, I know everyone else does too, but it’s like we really are, and I think if everyone can take a step of: ‘How can I be better? Me this week, how can I be a little bit better?' What mistakes did I have and how can I cut those in half? And I think everyone else has that exact same mindset, and I think it will take care of itself if we think about it that way."

The Raiders defense looks to give Wilson problems this Sunday night as the Silver and Black look to reach .500 with a victory over the Jets.

The Silver and Black will remain at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to take on the New York Jets on Sunday, Nov. 12, at 8:20 p.m. EST/5:20 p.m. PST.
