The Las Vegas Raiders defense had another outstanding performance. Las Vegas' defense held New York Jets running back Breece Hall to under 30 yards. They also held the Jets without a touchdown.

Las Vegas' defense has now strung together three consecutive impressive games. The Raiders have gone nine quarters without giving up a touchdown and forcing at least one turnover i  three straight games.

The Jets' leading rusher was quarterback Zach Wilson, who finished the game with 54 rushing yards.

The Raiders' lone turnover was an interception by linebacker Robert Spillane with just over one minute left in the game, preserving a 16-12 lead.

"I always say turnovers change the complexion of the game," Spillane said. "There's not much difference between a two-yard gain and a four-yard gain; it's very minimal. When you get those turnovers, you change the complexion of a football game. We were able to come up with two big ones, and it helped us win."

Spillane and fellow linebacker Divine Deablo led the team with seven tackles each. Spillane also had one of the team's two sacks. The linebackers worked in tandem on Spillane's interception, effectively putting the game away for the Silver and Black.

"I saw Zach Wilson drop back, saw a little route concept into the boundary," Spillane said. "Divine Deablo did a great job of making him double-pump on the throw, which gave me time to get there. So, it was just good team defense."

Spillane, who announced after the game that he and his wife are expecting their first child, shared his feelings on how far he's come this season and in his career.

"It's a dream come true," Spillane said. "I pour my heart into this. To be able to help my team win is a blessing."

Interim Coach Antonio Pierce has allowed the Raiders to play to their strengths, especially on defense.

"Raider football," Pierce said. "We're going to keep coming at you. We're going to be blue-collar, hard-nosed and rely on each other. Trust the family and just keep pushing forward."

Pierce's personality and ability to relate to the players have added a spark and confidence in the Raiders that was not there before Pierce took over.

"He's been the same guy," Spillane said. "He's going to continue to be himself unapologetically, and that's all you can ask for from a head coach. He's going to pour his heart into our team and into getting us wins. There's nothing more you can ask for."

The addition of Spillane has worked wonders for the Raiders defense. His dependability and ability to impact a game in various ways has helped turn the Raiders' defense around.

The Silver and Black will head out on the road to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 1:00 p.m. EST/10:00 a.m. PST.
