Deja Vu Setting in For Sports Fans in Oakland

In this story:
On Tuesday, the plans of the Oakland Athletics being relocated to Las Vegas reached the next step as the Nevada Senate approved the funding for a ballpark in Las Vegas that will host the MLB team.
That night, A's fans formed a "Reverse Boycott" at the Oakland Coliseum, protesting club Owner John Fisher's plans to move the team.
Angry and saddened fans packed the stadium, wearing t-shirts that read "SELL" and holding signs that displayed their disapproval and highlighted their loyalty and pride as followers of the historic franchise.
Sound familiar?
It wasn't too long ago that fans from the city of Oakland were protesting the relocation of the Oakland Raiders to Las Vegas.
The Raiders had already moved out of Oakland once before, and Raider followers from and of the city had grown accustomed to having them back where it all started for another 24 years.
But Raiders owner Mark Davis confirmed his plan to move the team to Las Vegas in 2016, an idea he had actually been contemplating for many years.
When it became official in 2017 that the club would be moving, season ticket holders were given an opportunity to have their tickets refunded for the 2017-18 season.
About 1,000 fans asked for and were given their refunds, per ProFootballTalk.
On Dec. 29, 2019, the Raiders played their final game in Oakland, a showdown with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fans filled the same stadium that hosted those dejected Oakland A's fans on Tuesday night, both followings having shouted and plead for the same intentions for their respective teams only four years apart.
The Raiders would go on to lose, 16-15, to finish with a 7-9 record. They had only won one game since starting the season 6-4.
The Oakland players walked off the field for the final time as an eruption of boos rang throughout the Coliseum, trash being thrown in their direction from fans who felt let down for so many reasons.
It would seem a similar cycle is just beginning.
