Former Alabama Running Backs Face-Off This Week

Many players on both teams face off against former college teammates this Sunday as the Las Vegas Raiders take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on prime-time Sunday Night Football.

Included are the starting running backs for the Raiders and Steelers.

Running backs Josh Jacobs and Najee Harris played at the University of Alabama and were teammates in 2017 and 2018.

Jacobs spent three seasons with Alabama. During his time with the Crimson Tide, Jacobs played 42 games and finished rushing for 1,491 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Harris also spent three football seasons with Alabama. During his time with the Crimson Tide, Harris played 41 games and finished rushing for 3,843 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Jacobs is his fifth season as the Silver and Black''s starting running back. He has rushed for 4,786 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns.

Harris is in his third season with the Steelers, and has rushed for 2,308 yards and 14 touchdowns in his career.

This Sunday, these two running backs are not the only Alabama alumni on the field, although Jacobs is the only Alabama alumni who suits up for the Silver and Black on Sundays.

The Steelers, however, have four Alabama alumni players on their team. These players are Harris, safety Mikah Fitzpatrick, cornerback Levi Wallace and defensive line coach Karl Dunbar.

Both running backs will be getting a lot of attention on Sunday as they look to be a key factor and lead their teams to a 2-1 record.

The Silver and Black return home to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8:20 p.m. EDT/5:20 p.m. PDT.
