The Las Vegas Raiders (6-8) have a critical three-game stretch to conclude the regular season as they try to reach the postseason.

While the Raiders’ top contributors will do what they can to achieve that goal, the young players on the team are stepping up and not only putting good play on the field, but are giving Raiders fans a glimpse into the future.

The Raiders built what could be the future foundation of their team in the 2023 NFL Draft, and some of those players have begun to prove themselves during an important stretch of the season.

Star defensive end Maxx Crosby spoke about the Raiders’ young players proving themselves on the most recent episode of his podcast, The Rush with Maxx Crosby.

“You see Michael Mayer, another guy who is getting more productive and also more confident,” Crosby. “That dude is going to be really special. Tre Tucker, Tyree [Wilson]’s getting better and better every single week, Malcolm Koonce, he’s not a rookie, but he’s a young guy stepping up and getting better. I can go on and on, but that’s what it’s all about. My focus is on today, focusing on getting better today, and I know these guys are thinking the same way, but you see these young guys stepping up, and you just see the future is going to be super bright. So, we’re focused on right now and trying to get into these playoffs, but the future is bright.

“There’s a ton of guys stepping up, and a lot of people wrote them off. They weren’t expecting them to do what they’re doing, and that’s just a credit to them. It’s awesome to see, and every single week, you see another guy. For example, Jack Jones. He’s been with the team for a few weeks, and he’s just getting better and better, snagging it, making plays, playing with a bunch of swag, and that’s what you want, to have guys out there confident, playing loose and locked in at the same time. You just see guys taking big steps every week.”

These talented young players may prove crucial to the Raiders’ postseason push, and Crosby has liked what he has seen.

The Silver and Black will return to action versus their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Christmas Day at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Don't miss it on Monday, December 25, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
