Free-agent cornerback and newly-signed Las Vegas Raider Marcus Peters was not the only cornerback to visit with the team on Monday.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Raiders also hosted veteran cornerback Troy Hill.

Hill started 12 games for the Los Angeles Rams last season, his second stint with that franchise, where he played the bulk of his career.

He went down with a groin injury in Week 2 and would rejoin the active roster in Week 8.

Hill posted 67 combined tackles despite having not played an entire season. He also had an interception, four passes defensed and a tackle for loss.

The veteran's career started with the Cincinnati Bengals, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon in 2015.

Hill played with Cincinnati up until Christmas of 2015, as the club waived the cornerback on Christmas Eve, before he was picked up by the New England Patriots the following day.

New England waived him only days later.

Hill was then claimed by the Rams, where he would play five seasons in his first stint with the team.

In the 2020-21 season, Hill tied as a league-leader in interceptions returned for touchdowns (two), while having led the NFL in interception return yards as well (119).

He would play for the Cleveland Browns the following season, before he was traded back to Los Angeles in April of 2022.

Hill has totaled 334 combined tackles, 12 for losses, 34 passes defensed, eight interceptions, two touchdowns, three fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and three sacks in his NFL career.

Hill has been a borderline Pro Bowler in two of the last three seasons and is still capable of playing the best football of his career at almost 33 years of age.

Should a deal be made, his addition would add strong depth to the secondary, an area that has been a major point of emphasis for the front office this offseason.

The Las Vegas Raiders open training camp for the entire team on July 25, 2023.

The Silver and Black open the preseason by hosting the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 4 p.m. EDT/1 p.m. PDT.
