Rookie Tyree Wilson's Stats This Season

In this story:
Rookie defensive end Tyree Wilson has shown many strides these last games for the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Raiders rookie first-round draft pick, Wilson is more than halfway to finishing his rookie season on the Raiders' defense.
The seventh-round draft pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Texas Tech has 20 combined tackles, 10 solo, 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble in 11 games this season as an edge rusher on the Silver and Black defense.
The No. 1 one takeaway and improvement the rookie has made is his ability to make stops in the running game, which has been a key for the Raiders' defense the last couple of games.
Raiders Defensive Coordinator Patrick Graham had the chance to speak about Wilson and what he has done so far in his rookie season.
"I'm focused on him just improving," Graham said. "I mean, the defensive line, whether you're a nine-technique or five-technique, I know the combinations of blocks can be different, but it still comes down to reading your keys, striking your key with your hands, getting your hands out in front of your eyes and then being able to transition in the pass rush.
"I always think there's a benefit for a young edge player to have some experience down inside, because I've told you guys before that in college when they're that good, nobody's really blocked them before. So, how good are they with their hands? ... I think there are a lot of positives that go into that when you move him up and down the line, especially early on."
With five games left remaining on the Raiders 2023-24 NFL regular season, it will be exciting to watch how Wilson will finish his first NFL season with the Raiders and how he will continue to be a key factor on the Silver and Black defense.
The Silver and Black will return home to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, December 10, at 4:05 p.m. EST/1:05 p.m. PST.
