Raiders Preparing For One of NFL's Deepest Defensive Lines

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders will have their hands full all across the board when facing the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
One area that is going to be especially tough for the offense is Buffalo's front seven.
Particularly up front, the Bills have a number of assets that can hurt you throughout the span of a game, and they are used interchangeably and effectively.
"They've invested a lot of draft picks and/or resources into the defensive line, and they got a really good front," Raiders Coach Josh McDaniels told media members on Friday. "They're really well coached. This is one of the finest coaching staffs in the entire National Football League. They use their personnel very wisely. They rotate a lot of players in there. So, you're rarely going to see them where they're gassed because they've got enough guys, enough depth in there. And they're all productive. So, they have pass rushers inside, pass rushers on the edge. They do a lot of good things in the running game too. So, their defensive front is formidable.
"Their linebacker corps has always been very good. Matt Milano is one of the best players in the National Football League in my opinion. At any position. So, blocking him, handling him in the running game, dealing with him in the pass game. He's such a great cover player; got great instincts. I mean you couple that with the play of their safeties and corners -- Taron Johnson's one of the best nickels in the game, for sure -- it's a big challenge. Their defense is good."
Fortunately for the Raiders, Las Vegas' offensive line had a collectively strong outing in Week 1.
If the Raiders bring the same level of intensity against Buffalo that they did against the Denver Broncos, it will be one more thing the Silver and Black can do to better their chances at pulling off the upset on the road.
The Silver and Black remain on the road this week as they travel to play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 1:05 p.m. EDT/10:05 a.m. PDT.
