International Superstar Sounds off On Raiders, Pierce

The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to name Interim General Manager Champ Kelly and Interim Head Coach Antonio Pierce permanently to their respective jobs at any moment.

The delay is starting to wear thin on Raider Nation as the promotions seem imminent.

Until they are made, the delay seems to be wasting time, as they are the presumed candidates, and even now, we know Kelly is sitting in on meetings with respective coaching candidates.

Now the man affectionately called the President of Raider Nation, international superstar Ice Cube is sounding off.

On the Pat McAfee Show, Cube had a slot to say. He even suggested talking to the Raiders' owner, Mark Davis.

Ice Cube told McAfee: "I think we need to hire A.P. When it comes to the NFL. the athletes are pretty even at the end of the day."

Ice Cube elaborated when he said, "You need someone who the players listen to, who they will play for, run through a brick wall for, and when you find that, you can't let it go. That Raiders have that in A.P."

The superstar continued to praise the Raiders leader, adding: "They really want to play for this guy, and you've gotta respect that, and let's roll with it, man; what are we waiting on?"

Ice Cube discussed how Pierce fits the Raider Nation, saying: "He (Pierce) drives a 6-4 low rider to the game. It's like Raider Nation to the 10th power."

Ice Cube said: "I'll call him (Mark Davis) up, you know me, and maybe I can convince him as President of the Raider Nation; I approve this message."

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
