HENDERSON, Nev.--The Las Vegas Raiders have one of the most passionate fan bases in the world of professional sports, and today we answer some of their questions and emails.

Hondo, I appreciate your blunt honesty. If Jimmy Garoppolo doesn’t stay healthy for all 17 games this year, will you call out Josh McDaniels or Dave Ziegler? --Kerry E.

Loudly.'

Hondo, you have excited me about this year’s rookie class. I appreciate you reminding us that they only have shorts on. With that in mind, please give me the rookie you think will have the biggest impact this season. --Erwin C.

This is tough for me; this class is intense. I would say Tre Tucker, but with so many great wide receivers on this team, I don’t think he’ll have the most significant impact so I would say Michael Mayer.

Hondo, you have said many times that when you can talk to the coaches, you will ask about Nate Hobbs and Trevo Moehrig going backward after good rookie years under the last season.  When are you going to do it?  Morgan W.

I did.  Today, you can watch it right here.  DB Coach Chris Ash didn't want to discuss a terrible year for the DBs in 2022, and in my opinion, you can watch and judge for yourself; he offered zero answers for 2023.  To me, this should be concerning.  Trust me, watch this and judge for yourself.

Hondo, when will your next 53-man roster prediction come out? --Melissa R.

Next Monday.

Hondo, I love your defensive line information. I love John Jenkins. If he makes this roster, who would he beat out? --Tony D.

Great question, and I would say, Nesta Jade Silvera or Jerry Tillery.

Hondo, do you think Sam Webb makes the 53-man roster? --Robert W.

Yes, but I wouldn’t bet my life on it. I would say right now, the odds are about 51 percent. Just over 50, but not much over.

Hondo, do you still think the Raiders might make a trade to add to the roster a new player? I love the work. --Kyle S.

I do.

Hondo, what position on this roster is the weakest, in your opinion? --Y. Aguilar

Great question, and I would say linebacker.

Hondo, I agree with you that this roster is vastly improved. What position do you think they are watching cuts for to upgrade? I would love to see the direction that they are thinking. --Vincent B.

All of them. Dave Ziegler isn’t married to any player if he can upgrade. I would say that they have the best DE, WR, K, and P, so the other 49 could all be upgraded if they could make it work within the salary cap.

Hondo, if you had to put a percentage on it, what percentage does Luke Masterson make this roster? I loved that kid and watched him all the way back to high school. --Wendy R.

Nearly certain, but never say never, so I would put the odds at 95 percent.

Hondo, what free agent might surprise us? --Calvin W.

Austin Hooper is a guy I have high expectations for.

Hondo, I loved watching the special teams coordinator and you calling him out. Great work. --Curtis G.

Respectfully, I don’t think I called him out. That isn’t my style. I think he gave a political answer, and he probably had to, but they made a decision that upset many players, and I felt my question was fair. I felt he was sincere, and I was not disrespectful.

For those that didn’t see the question, you can watch it here:

Hondo, I have written you before. As you know from my previous emails, my neighbor is a Raiders player. I thought you would like to know he loved your question about the new special teams' guy. Good work. --(Name Withheld)

From our weekly Hondo Hate file:

I think your fat has ruined your eyesight, dummy. Aidan O’Connell is going to be a bust. No way he looks good. You are just doing the bidding of Josh McDaniels, as you always do.  --David E.

Hondo, your love for Mark Davis and hatred of Josh McDaniels is disturbing. Your bias against Josh and Dave Ziegler discredits you as a pure hack. Please Tweet more pictures of your wife.  --Tom K.
