Grading the Las Vegas Raiders 2022 NFL Draft Class

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders' 2022 NFL Draft class was unique. Without a staff of scouts that they had hired, General Manager Dave Ziegler additionally didn’t have a full complement of time to evaluate from a GM’s point of view his first draft class.
So, without any further ado, we present the class and our grades:
Offensive lineman Dylan Parham, Round 3, 90th pick, A grade
Parham started in all 17 games for the Silver and Black and remains a stalwart on the offensive line heading into year two. He was one of the finest rookie offensive linemen in the National Football League and is a buddy star.
Running back Zamir White, Round 4, 122nd pick, C grade
White has shown the running skills that he highlighted as a national champion for the Georgia Bulldogs but has struggled in the passing game. He additionally showed off his work ethic this offseason by becoming better in the passing game, but 2023 is a critical year for him to show more.
Defensive tackle Neil Farrell Jr., Round 4, 126th pick, F grade
Farrell didn’t dress for all games in 2022 and was quickly shipped off to AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs before the 2023 regular season.
Defensive tackle Matthew Butler, Round 5, 175th pick, D-plus grade
Butler didn’t dress for all games in 2023 and finds himself on the practice squad. While his grade of a D-plus is for where he is right now, he has shown flashes of hope that his career with the Silver and Black can rebound.
Offensive lineman Thayer Munford, Round 7, 238th pick B grade
Munford has some starts as a rookie and nearly beat out a veteran for a starting job in 2023. He is a pivotal depth player in 2023 and continues to improve regularly. He has tremendous upside and there is genuine excitement around the organization for him.
Running back Brittain Brown, Round 7, 250th pick D grade
Brown has not been able to find much traction for the Raiders. He played sparingly in 2022 and was on the practice squad to start 2023. He has flashed at times, and there is some optimism that he can translate his evident talent into gridiron success in the National Football League.
When grading a player, we consider several things, including where they were picked. Farrell is the worst pick so far from the class, and Parham was the best, but considering what the Raiders traded to acquire the best wide receiver in the NFL, Davante Adams, that must be remembered when evaluating the class.
