In-Depth Look at the Las Vegas Raiders OL, DL

HENDERSON, Nev.--Any team of quality and competitive at any level of football must have quality defensive and offensive lines.

The National Football League is no different.

The Las Vegas Raiders have the returning National Football League leading rusher in Josh Jacobs. He didn't do it alone, and while the offensive line has taken a vast amount of criticism, was that generally fair?

Among the fan base, for sure, but not around the NFL.

The Raiders didn't even address the offensive line with one of their NFL Draft picks, showing their respect for that line.

Watching the battles coming in training camp on the offensive line and how the Raiders see their roster evolve will be fascinating.

We project that the offensive linemen who will make the 53-man roster are:

1.. OT Kolton Miller

2. OL Jermaine Eleumunor

3. C Andre James

4. OL Alex Bars

5. OL McClendon Curtis+

6. OL Greg Van Roten

7. OL Brandon Parker

8. OL Dylan Parham

9. OT Thayer Munford

Subsequently, the Raiders defensive tackle situation is fascinating. The Raiders have four players who are in their rookie or sophomore seasons. So if the Raiders keep six defensive tackles, and those four make the roster, what veterans can seize the final two roster spots?

The Raiders defensive line was anemic last season. There is no reason to expect it to be as bad as last season, as the Raiders have upgraded that part of the defense, but how good can they be?

While I project both sophomore tackles to make the team, if one doesn't or if both didn't, it would be a colossal failure by the Raiders in their first NFL Draft of the Dave Ziegler and Josh McDaniels regime.

I don't see that happening, but it could be a reality anyway.
