Las Vegas Raiders Struggled at Finishing in Week 4 Loss

The Las Vegas Raiders struggled to finish in the Week 4 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Take for instance the 49-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Nelson Agholor in the first half. What would have been a completion for the lead was negated after a penalty on extra tight end Foster Moreau for lining up on the line of scrimmage instead of a yard into the backfield.

A couple of plays later, Carr threw a pass to tight end Darren Waller, perhaps a hair away from Waller, but it was a ball he should have caught for a touchdown.

The possession later resulted in a 39-yard field goal but that’s four points the Raiders could have had.

Or how about the third quarter? Las Vegas in the red zone. The pass to running back Josh Jacobs is incomplete. On third down, tight end Darren Waller’s reception was two yards shy of the first down. The Silver and Black settled for the field goal.

While it’s still pointing and brought the difference to one, it should have been a touchdown.

That’s another four points left on the field.

Or how about a lob from Carr to wide receiver Zay Jones that was again a hair too long for the wide receiver? Had he caught it, Jones could have made a run for the end zone or at least gained a good chunk on a possession to gain the lead.

Instead, the Silver and Black punt the football.

With the Raiders loss today, there’s still plenty of work the offense needs to work on so they can finish and score more points.
