HENDERSON, Nev.--The Las Vegas Raiders have flipped the page to the 2024 offseason, and owner Mark Davis is officially on the hunt for the Silver and Black's next permanent General Manager.

Which direction will Davis go? Nobody knows, but the process is underway. We have said from the beginning that we expect Champ Kelly to be named permanent general manager.

Now that Antonio Pierce has that permanent head coaching job, will Davis fulfill expectations and hire Champ Kelly permanently?

Antonio Pierce has taken some criticism for listening to Marvin Lewis and Tom Coughly, and in my opinion, that is preposterous. Pierce addressed it: "Yeah, those are two good gentlemen, almost 40-plus years of head coaching experience. And that process has already started, it started from day one. To be honest, it started when I was 22-23 with Marvin [Lewis] and 25-26 with Coach Coughlin. I mean they both can tell you, I sat in their offices and would pick their brains of why we would do certain things, and that carried over even when I got into high school coaching and college coaching, and obviously here in the pros. But they'll have a huge impact on me of course, along with others. But at the end of the day, AP has got to represent AP. I've got to represent myself when I speak in front of Mr. Davis and give him my vision, my ideas, what I see that we can do going forward in the future to be a successful organization for years to come."

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
