Which direction will Davis go? Nobody knows, but the process is underway. We have said from the beginning that we expect Champ Kelly to be named permanent general manager and Antonio Pierce to be the permanent head coach.

In our latest episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast, we discuss the latest on the Coach/General Manager search, and that defensive end's Maxx Crosby's latest comments weren't wrong.

Maxx Crosby's latest comments on his status with the Las Vegas Raiders weren't wrong.

Crosby said of playing through adversity and pain: "They've been rough. Long weeks, I battled a lot of things. But I don't want to miss any games, regardless. Things happen in life. I've been through a lot in general, so some people have their opinions, and think I'm crazy. But I know I'm crazy, so it's fine. I love it. Everything I do, I do with a purpose, and I did everything in my power all week and I can't give enough credit to everybody on the Raiders staff. Alex Guerrero, Tim Harkins, all those guys they did everything in their power, and I pissed them off and kept them up all night trying to get on the field. So, I can't say enough about those guys."

Crosby also demonstrated humility when saying of all the attention he got on this season of Hard Knocks: "Yeah, I had some people in my family and stuff send it to me, so I checked it out. I mean, me and Rachel [Crosby] watched it and it's cool. At the end of the day, I play the game for one reason and it's because I love it and I want to leave a legacy, and be the best at what I do. And when I see stuff like that, it's like a little bit more validation about all the work I put in and just a little check mark. But it gives me more motivation to keep going and keep getting better, because I'm only at the beginning of this story. So, every single day is a battle, every day is a challenge, and getting to see other teams and things like that preparing for me in different ways and practicing for me doing extra stuff and all that, it's actually pretty damn cool to see. Especially when it's a great ones like the Dolphins and Chiefs and things like that, like some of the best coaches and players in the league showing me respect is really cool."
