After a 28-20 win over the Commanders last week to keep playoff hopes alive, the Rams remain at home for Week 16 to host the Saints, who are also fighting for their playoff lives.

Los Angeles has won four of its last five to remain in the playoff hunt. The Rams currently hold the No. 7 seed in the seven-team NFC playoff bracket and are tied with five other teams at 7-7, including the Saints.

The Saints, on the other hand, although also at 7-7, are on the outside looking in thanks to playoff tie-breakers, and hold the No. 9 spot. New Orleans is weirdly still in the hunt for the NFC South title, currently led by the Buccaneers at 7-7.

A win would go a long way for both teams.

Running back Kyren Williams has been a big part of the Rams offense this season, but he fumbled twice against the Commanders last week - his first two lost fumbles of the season - but hasn't lost confidence.

"He (Rams coach Sean McVay) was telling me right when it happened, 'I still got trust in you,'" Williams said. "'I still got 100% trust in you.' And that's just who he is. I don't expect him to change over little mistakes that happen in this game. It's football. That stuff happens. It's on me [to not allow] it to happen, but you just got to think that mistakes happen. Nobody's perfect. And so I appreciate Coach McVay for always riding for me, letting me know."

Williams leads the team with 953 yards rushing this season and is just 47 yards from his goal of 1,000 with three games to go. "I told myself coming into this year, it's unacceptable if I don't get 1,000 [rushing yards]," he said.

For the Saints, Chris Olave and Cameron Jordan will both play on Thursday night - a big boost on either side of the ball.
