Bills Dubbed 'Best Fit' for Rams Ex Bobby Wagner

After one season with the Los Angeles Rams, linebacker Bobby Wagner is on the move again - and one analyst believes he could sign with the Buffalo Bills.

Veteran linebacker Bobby Wagner was the Los Angeles Rams' leading tackler and earned second-team All-Pro honors in his lone season with the team - but after mutually parting ways, he's looking for a new home.

Wagner, 32, logged 140 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and six sacks in 2022 while providing strong leadership ... and ESPN believes he could do similar things in the AFC East.

The Buffalo Bills, who lost linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to the Chicago Bears in free agency, have been named the "best fit" to land Wagner this offseason, per ESPN.

"After a disappointing 2021 season led the Seahawks to cut their legendary linebacker, Wagner caught on with the Rams and looked rejuvenated. The future Hall of Famer might not be quite as fleet of foot as he once was, but he racked up six sacks and 10 tackles for loss, dropped his passer rating in coverage by more than 10 points and missed just two tackles all season.

"(Bills coach) Sean McDermott's defenses have been built around a pair of effective linebackers going back to his days in Carolina; Wagner would be a stable presence for a team with Super Bowl aspirations." - ESPN's Bill Barnwell

Wagner's projected to get $6 million per year, with the linebacker market ranging between $6 and $8 million; Los Angeles signed the six-time Pro Bowler to a five-year, $50 million deal last offseason, good for $10 million annually, but moved on after one year.

Without Wagner, the Rams could turn to Ernest Jones as their leader in the middle of the defense but will likely keep adding throughout the offseason.

In the meantime, Wagner appears set to choose from a plethora of options - and could just land on the Bills.
