Rams Elite Receiving Corps Might Be Biggest Strength in 2024

The Los Angeles Rams had one of the best passing attacks in the NFL this past season, and they have a chance to be even better in 2024.

Coming into this season, there was a lot of doubt about whether or not the Los Angeles Rams would have an effective passing game, but the team proved that wrong very quickly.

Veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford was coming off of a season where he only played nine games, and Cooper Kupp was slated to miss the first couple of weeks with a hamstring injury.

But despite all of that, the Rams defied the odds and had one of the scariest passing attacks in the league. And even though the team had a good year, they could further improve on it and be a real contender next season.

In fact, last season the Rams finished in the top 10 in both passing yards and total yards, as their passing game opened up the field for their run game.

Drafting Puka Nacua was the biggest reason for those improvements, with the stud rookie having a record-breaking season, and opening things up for the Rams to have one of the most consistent passing games in the league.

And at the end of the day, Nacua is just 22 years old and is only going to get better.

In addition to Nacua, Kupp having a more consistent year than last season could be the biggest catalyst for the Rams.

Nobody is expecting the 30-year-old to replicate what he did in his triple crown season, but if he could stay on the field and be that safety blanket for Stafford that he has been for the past few seasons, he could help Nacua shine even brighter.

Not to mention, Tutu Atwell also played a big role in 2023, catching 39 passes for 483 yards and three scores.

Unfortunately for the Rams, they will be losing one of their key contributors as well, with DeMarcus Robinson set to hit the free agency market after one year with the team, in which he was a huge part of the offense in the final weeks of the season.

That said, the Rams should have plenty of flexibility this offseason with more than $24 million in cap space to add some more weapons on the outside for Stafford.

And if they can do that, in combination with the steady Kupp, and Nacua and Atwell taking the next step in 2024, the sky could be the limit for the passing game.
