Rams 2024 NFL Mock Draft Roundup: What Could LA Do With First-Round Pick?

It's never too early to look ahead to what the Los Angeles Rams could do in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Los Angeles Rams haven't had a first-round pick since 2016, their first season back in California. At the time, Jeff Fisher was the head coach of the Rams, who selected Jared Goff with the No. 1 overall pick.

To say that it's been a minute since the Rams picked in the first round would be a massive understatement.

So with this year's NFL Draft in the books, here's an early peek at what the Rams could potentially do in 2024 when they're finally due to have a first-round pick again.

Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports: Kool-Aid McKinstry, Cornerback, Alabama

In CBS' mock, the Rams have the No. 12 overall pick in the first round and use it to select McKinstry. Wilson notes that "Kool-Aid not only could be the top corner in the class, he's a dangerous return man too."

The Draft Network Staff: Michael Penix Jr., Quarterback, Washington

While much of the focus surrounding the 2024 class has been focused on Caleb Williams and Drake Maye, Penix threw for 4,641 yards and 31 touchdowns a year ago for the Huskies. TDN has Penix going to the Rams with the No. 8 overall pick, making him the successor to Matthew Stafford.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic: Kool-Aid McKinstry, Cornerback, Alabama

Here's another tally for McKinstry to the Rams, this time the ninth pick. In his sophomore season at Alabama, McKinstry had 15 passes defended and 35 tackles, en route to being named First-Team All-Sec.

Matt Holder of Bleacher Report: Brock Bowers, Tight End, Georgia

Bowers has been a monster in two seasons at Georgia, racking up 1,824 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns. B/R's mock has him going to the Rams with the ninth pick. Perhaps Los Angeles will have other more important positions that they could address with a rare first-round pick, but Bowers may be too good of a prospect to pass up on.
