WATCH: Rams Punter Ethan Evans Shows Off Impressive Weight Room Feats

Punter Ethan Evans, who the Rams selected in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, shows off some impressive strength in the weight room

When the Los Angeles Rams selected punter Ethan Evans with the No. 223 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, not many knew his name. It's hard to get recognition as a punter to begin with, but especially so when playing at Wingate, a Division II school. In fact, Evans was one of only two Division II players taken in this year's draft.

Evans' name should become more familiar to NFL fans soon, though. For one, he'll likely play a big role for the Rams as he's the only punter on their roster right now. For two, the rookie punter boasts some impressive strength.

On April 28, one day before the Rams drafted him, Evans posted a video on Instagram showing himself deadlifting 770 pounds twice and making it look easy.

Then on Friday, Evans posted another workout video. This time, he showed himself deadlifting 605 pounds eight times and bench pressing 225 pounds eight times in four separate sets. The 6-4, 235-pound punter even called this workout a "light day."

In his final season at Wingate, Evans averaged 45.7 yards per punt. He was one of only three punters selected in the 2023 draft.

Hopefully, Rams fans will be able to see his strength on the field this season in addition to his punting skills.
