Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett threw a brutal interception in last Saturday's exhibition against the Las Vegas Raiders, but still managed to impress his offensive coordinator in the team's second preseason game.

Mike LaFleur -- who is entering his first season as offensive coordinator in Los Angeles after serving in the same role for the New York Jets the two prior seasons -- praised Bennett's ability to bounce back in Saturday's game.

“Yeah, you could totally see it, just the resiliency of him, right?," LaFleur said of Bennett. "For him to finish with that offensive group in the end zone and in a pretty productive drive right there was good to see and like you said, he has the ability to bounce back. You don't see anything in his eyes, except he just wants to be back out there and that's from practice or in the game.”

Across his first two preseason games, Bennett had completed 32 of 53 pass attempts for 333 yards, a touchdown pass, an interception and a rushing touchdown. The fourth-round pick figures to get an extended look again in the team's final preseason game on Saturday in Denver.

Presumably, Bennett will open this season as the third-string quarterback for the Rams, behind veterans Matthew Stafford and Brett Rypien. However, if Stafford misses any extended period of time in 2023 -- which is certainly a possibility after he was limited to nine games a season ago -- it will be interesting to see if Bennett gets a chance to play.
