'Unequivocally Yes!' Rams '100 Percent' Committed To QB Matthew Stafford
The Los Angeles Rams may be coming off a heartbreaking 24-23 loss to the Detroit Lions in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs on Sunday, but there is still plenty to be excited about heading into next season.
Including that of quarterback Matthew Stafford, who despite being 36 years old, was playing as good as he ever has in his career up until the clocks hit zero vs. Detroit.
And while Stafford had already confirmed that he was returning following the loss on Sunday, there were still questions regarding the team's long-term commitment to the quarterback going forward.
Suffice it to say, Rams head coach Sean McVay has made the franchise's stance on those questions extremely clear.

"100 percent," McVay told reporters when asked about the franchise's commitment to Stafford. "Absolutely. Unequivocally yes."
While it may seem that this is an obvious answer, there have been consistent questions surrounding the future of Stafford over the last two years.
In large part, those questions were due to what transpired over the 2022 season, with Stafford playing in just nine games due to various injuries. Some of which were quite serious, including a spinal contusion.
However, in 2023, Stafford bounced back in a big way, especially down the stretch of the regular season from the end of November, all the way up until the playoff loss to his former team.
Including the playoff game, he would go on to end the year with 351 of 557 passes for 4,332 yards and 26 touchdowns with 11 interceptions, despite missing two games during the season.
And while the Rams could certainly look into drafting a future successor to Stafford that could sit, learn and develop over the next year or two, it appears that any questions as to whether or not the Rams would move on from Stafford next season, have been 'unequivocally' answered.
