In this story:
Stetson Bennett's time as a quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams is officially underway.
Drafted in the fourth round after leading Georgia to consecutive national championships, Bennett took to the practice field Wednesday for the first time in his new threads.
The Rams posted highlights of the event - which featured Bennett throwing two accurate deep balls to receivers Sam James and Van Jefferson, one of which started with coach Sean McVay in coverage.

Bennett, who's slated to be veteran Matthew Stafford's backup, appears to have enjoyed a solid opening act - and has many more opportunities to impress.
Wednesday marked the Rams' first day of team activities, during which most players showed up and hit the field. OTAs officially start next week, running May 22-23, May 25, May 30-31, June 2 and June 5-8.
Mandatory minicamp from June 13-15 wraps up the early summer portion of the Rams' offseason, leading into a month-plus break before the team returns for training camp and the preseason.
Los Angeles will kick off its pursuit of a bounce-back season on Sept. 10, traveling to Lumen Field for a road matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.
Will Bennett play meaningful snaps this season?
Only time will tell ... but he certainly has a chance this summer to help not only his short-term odds as backup but also his long-term potential of being a plausible solution after Stafford.
