Ravens' Marlon Humphrey on 'Scary' New Offense: 'Let's Prove It!'

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey is looking forward to seeing the team's new offense in action and back up the offseason hype

Nobody knows an NFL offense quite like the same team's defense, and vice versa.

The two units spend the entire offseason, through OTAs, training camp and the like training against each other constantly. Even during the regular season, the units still see each other multiple times a week in practice. With how often each unit squares off, they know each other's strengths and weaknesses inside and out.

So when Baltimore Ravens' cornerback Marlon Humphrey says he's excited about the team's revamped offense, fans should take notice. The former All-Pro corner heaped praise onto the Ravens offense, lauding the talent at each position. Above all else, though, Humphrey is excited to see the unit go out and prove all the offseason hype they've received has been warranted.

“It looks good," Humphrey said via Ravens Wire. "We’ve had a year or two, to me, to where on paper, we look scary. I think the product we put out, that’s really all that really matters, but on paper, man, we look very scary ... I think this is the year of just proving it."

The Ravens' offense may be one of the league's most-discussed this offseason thanks to some massive moves. Not only did they re-sign quarterback Lamar Jackson to a long-term deal, but they gave him two new receivers to play with in Odell Beckham Jr. and rookie Zay Flowers. With these additions, Jackson now has his best supporting cast since becoming the starter in 2018.

As Humphrey notes, though, talent on paper can only go so far. Even with all the talent, the Ravens' new-look offense will be out to prove itself all over again once the season begins.
