Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson finally sat down and signed his shiny new $260 million, five-year contract on Thursday. The team announced that the quarterback had put pen to paper with a social media post captioned, “Done. Deal.”

"I'm very eager ... I told someone I want to throw for like 6,000 yards with the weapons we have. I'm not an individual awards type of guy or a stat watcher, I just want to do that. No one's ever done it and I feel like we have the weapons to do it.

"We've got explosive guys with the new additions, Zay [Flowers], OBJ, and we've got [Rashod]Bateman who will be 100 percent healthy, and you can't forget about my boy Mark [Andrews]. ... I just can't wait to get rollin'."

Jackson was also asked to elaborate on his previous request for a trade and what changed between that and the signing.

“Today, we’re gonna keep it about the future,” Jackson said. “I’m not really worried about what happened in the past. I’m gonna keep it about these next five years. And keep it about what’s going on today. You know, it’s a great day.”

Coach John Harbaugh says expectations are always high.

"... It's got a chance to be exciting and fun, it's got a chance to be a winning offense, that's what we always want to be. But the expectations are always high."
