METAIRIE, La. -- Michael Thomas remembers.

The New Orleans Saints wide receiver posted a reminder on Twitter about where Oakland Raiders general manager Mike Mayock rated him among players at that position in the 2016 NFL Draft.

"I wouldn't take Mike Mayock (too) serious either for the simple fact that he had the nerves to rank 5 guys higher than me coming out of the draft," Thomas wrote. "And we all know how that worked out."

Thomas became the first wideout with a $100 million contract this offseason after he set the NFL record for most receptions through the first three seasons of a career.

The tweet came soon after multiple reports of a falling out between Mayock and star receiver Antonio Brown that could have him suspended for the Raiders' Week 1 game.

Mayock worked for NFL Network as a draft analyst before the Raiders hired him as a GM in 2017.

For Thomas to reference the receivers selected ahead of him in the draft is nothing new. He has frequently used his third-round draft placement as motivation.

Now with his latest tweet, he appears to be supporting Brown in his falling out with the team that traded for him during the offseason.
