As quickly as veteran Jason Pierre-Paul got here, he's out of the picture now. The veteran pass rusher was poached off the Saints practice squad on Monday by the Dolphins, and he confirmed the news via his personal Instagram.

I would like to thank the New Orleans Saints and the organization for giving me the opportunity to play for them. I can't even lie, it was a hard decision to make. To all the guys in the locker room, I appreciate y'all accepting me as a teammate and to all the coaches appreciate you guys for believing in me. I'm coming home.

Things were already getting tougher for the Saints going into this week's game against the Lions, as they're going to be dealing with a good bit of injuries after Sunday's loss to the Falcons. One of those was to defensive end Cam Jordan, who we learned is dealing with an ankle injury after leaving the game early and is going through further evaluations.

How Will This Roller Coaster Season End for the Saints?

If Jordan can't play, that tends to be a pretty big problem. Rookie Isaiah Foskey should be on his way back from the quad injury, and the Saints also have Kyle Phillips on the roster to be an option. From the practice squad, training camp and preseason hero Niko Lalos could be an option.

Payton Turner was at Sunday's game as an observer, no longer sporting a walking boot, but he's not expected to be in the mix until the final few games of the season. We'll see what the first injury report looks like for New Orleans on Wednesday.
