The incredibly durable Wilson hasn’t missed a start in his entire eight-year NFL career and that streak isn’t in jeopardy of ending this weekend in Atlanta.

Though he was listed on the injury report for the first time this season, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is “ready to roll” for Sunday’s game against the Falcons.

Fans may have been a bit uneasy when Wilson’s name cropped up on the injury report with a knee issue, but he was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. The veteran signal caller indicated he’s feeling great and downplayed the extent of the injury, indicating it was “nothing crazy.”

Since entering the league in 2012 as a third-round pick out of Wisconsin and beating out Matt Flynn for the starting job as a rookie, Wilson has been the NFL’s most durable quarterback. He’s started all 119 of Seattle’s regular season games and 13 playoff games during that span, including two Super Bowls.

“Anytime I get a chance to play, I’m excited.” a smiling Wilson told reporters Thursday. “It definitely means a lot. Something that I’ve always wanted to do is play every game if I can.”

So far, Wilson has been able to achieve that goal, an incredible accomplishment given the brutality of pro football. This year alone, numerous quarterbacks have gone down to serious injury, including Nick Foles and Ben Roethlisberger.

Looking to bounce back from a difficult outing against the Ravens, Wilson will make his 120th straight start in Atlanta on Sunday. Widely viewed as an MVP front runner, he completed a season-low 48 percent of his pass attempts and cornerback Marcus Peters intercepted him for a 67-yard touchdown return.

For the season, Wilson has thrown for 1,945 yards and tossed 15 touchdowns while completing 68 percent of his passes. He’s also remained a threat as a runner with 178 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
