Seahawks Set to Visit Anthony Richardson, Continue Cross-Country QB Trip

The Seattle Seahawks have gone viral recently due to group selfies they've taken with rising quarterback prospects. Florida Gators star Anthony Richardson seems to be next up on that list.

The Seattle Seahawks' cross-country quarterback journey is set to continue.

The next stop? To Florida to watch former Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson work out on Thursday, per The Athletic.

Maybe coach Pete Carroll and Co. will have another group selfie in store, staying true to the theme like they have with Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and Will Levis.

But for now, Carroll's focusing on how fun all the trips, evaluations and meetings have been, something likely to continue when he and the Seahawks go watch Richardson.

“It has been a freakin’ blast," Carroll said Tuesday in Phoenix at the NFL's annual owners' meeting, per The Athletic. "It was so much fun. To hit one after another after another with the three guys we saw and the orchestration and the circus of it all, and the way they handled it was just so impressive. It was just really fun.”

Richardson met with Seattle during the NFL Combine, where he blew everyone away with his throwing ability and athleticism. But it seems the Seahawks did the same to him.

"(Carroll) had this big smile on his face," Richardson said per a March 6 report from ESPN. "We shook hands, and something about it was just different. You only see these guys on TV. And now I'm in their presence and they're right there talking to me. And they're interested in me. That makes you feel good."

The Seahawks would be getting a special player and raw talent should they draft Richardson at No. 5.

The dual-threat stud went 176 of 327 passing for 2,549 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions this past season. He added 103 carries for 654 yards and nine touchdowns. The stats leave more to be desired, while turnovers and overall efficiency will be the focus of improvement. But he's a rookie for a reason.

But the Seahawks are clearly enamored with Richardson, and he has a chance to continue proving himself on Thursday.
