The Seahawks face Dallas in Arlington as the Cowboys hope to extend its home winning streak to 14 games on Thursday night. It's the second consecutive Thursday game for both teams after appearances on Thanksgiving Day.

The Cowboys are rolling right now, and that provides a unique challenge for Seattle defensive coordinator Clint Hurtt.

"Yeah, they're definitely very dangerous. They present a lot of issues because of their talent and they execute at a high level, but definitely. San Francisco presents challenges with their motions and things of that nature, so they're different in how they go about doing it. They're both obviously operating at a very high level."

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has quietly played himself into the NFL MVP conversation while also leading his team to 41.8 points per game at AT&T Stadium with one of the league's most explosive offenses. And Hurtt knows containing Prescott will be difficult.

"The quarterback is playing at a high level, so you have to find ways to be able to disrupt him. Explosive players all over the place. Obviously with CeeDee (Lamb) and (Michael) Gallup, and (Brandin) Cooks has obviously always been a guy who can take the top off a defense; (Tony) Pollard he's a special back. Even the tight end, (Jake) Ferguson, is a good player. They definitely present their challenges. We've got to continue to practice and prepare and get ready for this match-up."

Seahawks defensive lineman Jarran Reed knows Prescott's mobility and awareness will make getting pressure on him difficult all day.

“With Dak (Prescott) I think they do a good job at getting the ball out, they have a great run game, a good offensive line, and their scheme is very well. We’re going to have to try and control Dak and control the run game and I think as long as we do that and execute our plays, we’ll do pretty good.”

The Seahawks defense has been good at times this season but has also allowed big chunks of points. Hurtt's unit allowed 31 to San Francisco, 26 to Washington, 37 to Baltimore and Detroit, and 30 in Week 1 to the Rams.

The unit as a whole will need to be better than that on Thursday.
