WATCH: Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba Stars at OTAs

Seattle Seahawks first-round pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba is off to a strong start during OTAs.

It's been just over a month since the Seattle Seahawks selected receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba at No. 20 overall, but he's already impressed his peers and coaches alike.

And with OTA performances like the one he put together on Tuesday, it's easy to see why.

Of course, the Seahawks are still in the early phases of offseason workouts - pads have yet to be put on and intensity is still relatively low - but all of the praise Smith-Njigba has drawn is being backed up on the gridiron.

During Tuesday's session, Smith-Njigba caught a pair of touchdown passes, one coming on a vertical concept in which he beat the corner off the line and made a move in space, and the other in a goal line situation where he found a small cushion and sneaked in for a score.

Here's a look at Smith-Njigba's two touchdowns ...

The 21-year-old Smith-Njigba broke Ohio State's program records with 95 catches and 1,606 receiving yards in 2021 while playing alongside first-round wideouts Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave and ultimately finished his career with 10 touchdowns in 23 games.

Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith dubbed Smith-Njigba "so impressive" earlier in OTAs, citing his route running, hands and confidence, while offensive coordinator Shane Waldron noted that he's showcased a lot of natural talent in the early goings.

Smith and Waldron closed their compliments with the same thing - they're excited to see how Smith-Njigba progresses ... and standout summer sessions like these are truly just the beginning for the talented wideout.
