Seahawks Schedule: Seattle Draws 'Brutal' Back-to-Back Thursday Night Games

The Seattle Seahawks may be the biggest losers of the NFL's schedule reveal, as they will play three games in 12 days.

The excitement of the NFL revealing their regular season schedule was quickly dashed for the Seattle Seahawks as fans grew upset at the announcement they'd play three games in 12 days.

It was a fact that was first put out by Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett, where he wrote on Twitter that "sources" told him that they'd play in back-to-back Thursday night games, which usually results in the 12-day slugfest barring a bye week.

This turned out to be true. Starting in Week 11, Seattle will visit the Los Angeles Rams on November 19 before playing on Thanksgiving (a Thursday) against the San Francisco 49ers at home. This will be followed by a game at AT&T Stadium against the Dallas Cowboys a week later for Prime Video's Thursday Night Football.

This revelation quickly drew ire from Seahawk fans as the 12s sounded off on Twitter:

To makes matters even worse for the Seahawks, they will be the most traveled team in the league this season. According to the Boston Herald, Seattle will travel 31,600 total miles, most in the NFL, which is more than enough to go around the world.

Sadly for Seahawk fans, there doesn't look to be a way out of this for Seattle. The NFL's new "flexible scheduling" procedures don't allow for games on Thursday night to be moved. However, the NFL owners decided to wait on that. Instead, their new rules will enable the league to flex Sunday and Monday games to allow teams to "play their way onto primetime," as the NFL explained.
