Following a dazzling performance in which he established a new single-game career high for receptions, Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett has been named the SNICKERS Hungriest Player for Week 9.

Starring for a potent Seattle passing attack on Sunday, Lockett reeled in 13 receptions for 152 yards and scored two touchdowns during a 40-34 overtime win over Tampa Bay. It was the second time this season the former Kansas State star eclipsed 150 receiving yards, as he recorded 154 against New Orleans in Week 3.

“Tyler Lockett is ridiculous.” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said following the game. “He’s so good. 13 catches today. A lot of tough things, and the variety of things that he did, the touchdown passes, too. But, just the amazing player that he is, and just continues to be marvelous to watch. We’re fortunate.”

As a reward for his phenomenal outing, Lockett becomes the ninth player to receive the exclusive iced-out SNICKERS chain this season, joining 49ers running back Tevin Coleman, Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs, and Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew among other award recipients.

Throughout each week of the 2019 season, the SNICKERS chain will be passed from one player to another who has not only displayed hunger for more with his play on the field, but who is also motivated to do more off the field. The hand-crafted chain, which was created by famous jeweler Ben Baller, is highlighted by a pendent of the iconic “S” from the SNICKERS logo featuring more than 47 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds, blue sapphires, and red rubies.

Fans can follow the #SNICKERSchain journey on social media @SNICKERS and will help select the league’s hungriest player at the end of the season. The winner will ultimately donate proceeds from the chain to a charity of his choice.
