Steelers Legend Joey Porter Gives Chilling Speech to Joey Porter Jr. on Draft Night

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers never believed they'd have an opportunity to draft Joey Porter Jr. with the 32nd pick, but when the board fell their way, they held off from teams trying to trade and selected their next star cornerback.
Porter Jr. was in Pittsburgh when the pick happened and decided to come to the facility to do his press conference in person after the pick. When he sat down, he said how upset he was after not going on night one.
"Last night, I was mad. I had the edge on me," Porter said after he was drafted. "This is a perfect way to end my day right here. I just forgot all about last night and shoot, I'm ready. I got a chip on my shoulder. I'm trying to prove myself."
He wasn't lying. Thanks to NFL Films, Steelers fans got an inside look at what happened while Porter was falling out of the first round after being invited to Kansas City for the draft.
He was visibly frustrated, but his dad, Joey Porter Sr., made sure to use that anger as motivation.

"They want to see a pissed-off football player. Now they got one," Porter Sr. said. "Now you’ve been motivated to another level. Because we’ve got something to prove. And take it personal. Because you should."
Porter Jr. plans to. He told All Steelers after the draft that he has a chip on his shoulder and he's ready to prove anyone who let him slide wrong.
"It adds a little more fuel to the fire, and that just gives me even greater reason to go out and put on for Steeler Nation and my pops and everything," Porter Jr. said.
For the Steelers and their fans, that extra fuel should leave some chills thinking about this rookie proving himself in Pittsburgh.
