Steelers Open Season at Home for First Time in Nine Years

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers finally open an NFL season at home. After eight straight seasons of opening the year on the road, fans will finally have the opportunity to cheer on the black and gold from the North Shore in Week 1.
The Steelers will kick off the season against the San Francisco 49ers at Acrisure Stadium, according to a report from Adam Crowley of 93.7 The Fan. It would be the first season opener played in Pittsburgh since the 2014 season.
I have been told that the #Steelers will open at home against the 49ers.

The last time the Steelers opened up at home, they beat the Browns 30-27 behind 365 passing yards from Ben Roethlisberger, 109 yards and a touchdown on the ground from Le'Veon Bell and 116 yards and a score from Antonio Brown. Sean Suisham's 41-yard, game-winning field goal passed through the uprights with no time on the clock that afternoon. A vastly different cast of characters will be wearing black and gold when the ball is kicked on the North Shore.
As for the 49ers, who will start under center is up in the air. Mr. Irrelevant of the 2022 NFL Draft, Brock Purdy, who led San Francisco to the playoffs after both Trey Lance and Jimmy Garroppolo went down with injuries, is the presumed front-runner. But 49ers head coach Kyle Shannahan said both Lance and Sam Darnold are capable of starting as well.
