Giants Sign Former Steelers WR

A former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout and special teams ace is headed to New York.

PITTSBURGH -- Former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Miles Boykin has a new home after spending two seasons in the Steel City. His new team, the New York Giants, announced that they had signed the specials teams standout, with financial terms yet to be disclosed.

Boykin arrived in Pittsburgh as a waiver wire addition in the spring of 2022. One day after the Baltimore Ravens - who selected him with the 93rd overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft - waived him, the Steelers took him in. After playing out the final season of his rookie deal, Boykin signed a one-year deal with Pittsburgh.

Boykin played 523 special teams snaps for the Steelers - 50% of the total snaps in 2022 and 70% the following year. He accounted for 15 tackles as a special teamer and made five receptions for 18 yards as a receiver on offense, where he played sparingly as a reserve over the past two seasons.

The Steelers lost Diontae Johnson to a trade this offseason but have added Van Jefferson, Quez Watkins and Cordarrelle Patterson to help fill the gap.
