Cardinals Trade Former Steelers QB

PITTSBURGH -- The Minnesota Vikings have been shopping for a new quarterback this week after long-time starter Kirk Cousins suffered a season-ending achilles injury just before the trade deadline and they have found their answer in a former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback.

According to a report from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, the Arizona Cardinals are trading Josh Dobbs, a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers, to the Minnesota Vikings. Arizona will send a seventh-round pick as compensation and get a sixth-round pick back.

Dobbs has started for the Cardinals since Week 1 and played well, throwing for 1,569 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions over eight games this season. He'll have one of, if not the best wide receiver groups in the NFL headlined by Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson, who is on injured reserve but could return to action in as little as two weeks.

Dobbs spent two seasons in Pittsburgh, appearing in six games and starting none. He completed 58% of his passes for 45 yards, one interception and no touchdowns in black and gold.
