Report: Steelers Exploring Brandon Aiyuk Trade

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have "looked into" San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk regarding a possible sign and trade, according to 93.7 The Fan's Andrew Filliponi.
Aiyuk, 26, is entering the final year of his current contract and is expected to be on the market as the 49ers look to move on before he hits free agency next offseason. The Steelers would take on his $14 million salary this season, but would also be expected to sign him to a long-term deal if they did make a move for the wideout.

The All-Pro wideout is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and has 25 career touchdowns in four seasons. Last year, he totaled 1,342 yards and seven scores, averaging 17.9 yards per reception.
The Jaguars were reportedly working on a deal for Aiyuk, but the asking price was a first-round pick and wide receiver Zay Jones. Jacksonville decided the move would cost too much, so it backed out and left the door open for the next candidate.
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac dropped a hint on the Rich Eisen Show recently, saying the Steelers could make a move that's a "bigger catch" than free agent Mike Williams, who is set to visit the team this week.
If he's alluding to Aiyuk, the Steelers would likely have to give up a pretty penny for him, but as of now, it's being reported they're at least doing their homework on the situation.
