Mike Tomlin Can't Let Steelers Lose This One

The Pittsburgh Steelers cannot open up a can of worms again this season.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-2 coming out of the bye week, but what they've done so far this season doesn't mean much if they don't continue to build upon it. And possibly the most crucial step in doing so is heading to Los Angeles and beating the Rams.

This game has a ton riding on it. The Steelers have an opportunity to grow their winning percentage, depending on the Ravens-Lions outcome, climb their way back to the top of the AFC North, and put a stamp of faith in where the team is headed in the second half of the year.

Mike Tomlin is always a better coach in the back half of the year. There are few who rally a team like he does after the bye week, but that only means this game is even more important.

The Steelers head coach has already been questioned this season. Fans have started to make it known they are losing faith, and there was a glowing example of why when the team lost to rookie head coach DeMeco Ryans and the Houston Texans.

Sean McVay isn't a rookie head coach, but he's a winning head coach. One that has seemingly found success with whoever is on the field, including two former Steelers.

All eyes will be on the growth of Kevin Dotson and the new-found success of Ahkello Witherspoon. Both are having big years with new teams, which sparks a big topic of conversation for the Steelers.

Who's fault was it that they didn't work out in Pittsburgh?

A win against the Rams, and no one is talking about anything but where this team can go. A loss and the questions get pretty big about why the Steelers are losing to players that weren't good enough to be on their roster - and how much of it is Tomlin's fault.
