NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans have now moved past the NFL Combine and into the next phase of the draft process known as pro days. Pro days are a secondary showcase at a player’s home university and on Wednesday the Titans will be sending a large contingent of coaches and other personnel to Columbus, Ohio for the Ohio State university event.

According to a tweet from Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, the Titans will have some of their key decision makers on the field in Columbus. General manager Ran Carthon, assistant general manager Chad Brinker, head coach Mike Vrabel and offensive coordinator Tim Kelly will all be in attendance. According to Jim Nagy, the Titans will actually have seven people in attendance, but the other three are unknown at this time.

The reason for such a large group is obvious: the Buckeyes have a TON of great prospects to evaluate. CJ Stroud is rumored to be the Titans’ top choice at quarterback, but even outside of Stroud the Buckeyes have a few clear targets for the Titans. Two names that could be in play for the Titans’ first pick in the draft are wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. There are also some options like offensive tackle Dawand Jones and interior offensive lineman Luke Wypler.

The Titans two biggest needs continue to be on the offensive line and at receiver so with the Buckeyes having such a strong group at those spots, it makes sense the Titans would want to have full focus on their pro day. The Titans will also get the added benefit of seeing 2024 prospect Marvin Harrison Jr. Harrison is considered a top player in the country and most likely would go off the board as the first receiver taken in this year’s draft if he were eligible. Harrison will participate in the workout as a receiver for Stroud.

The Titans have a ton of different options in the draft, but there is a high likelihood one of the players they see today could end up as a Tennessee Titan. Any of them have a chance to be a major upgrade and a future piece of the roster puzzle for years to come.
