An Interesting Development, But Should Titans Jump

In this story:
NASHVILLE - A Friday morning report from Adam Schefter has given a new option for teams potentially in the market for a left tackle. Per his report, Cincinnati Benglas left tackle Jonah Williams, through his agent Ryan Tollner, has asked to be traded.
This is a new development in the wake of the Bengals signing former Kansas City left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. in free agency this week.
Williams has two years remaining on his current deal, with a base of $12.6M guaranteed on his 5th-year option.
Those figures are team friendly for a veteran left tackle and one who protected the blind side of Joe Burrow for a Super Bowl team two seasons ago.
Williams was a unanimous All-American and a national championship winner at Alabama before being the Bengals first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Since arriving in Cincinnati, Williams became a starter in week seven of the 2020 season and started 42 consecutive regular season games at left tackle.
Williams would be an exciting addition to the Titans offensive line, but two questions have yet to be answered.
Will the Bengal trade him, and if so, what will they ask in return?
Another Friday morning report from Albert Breer, indicates that the Bengals had planned to flip WIlliams to right tackle with the Brown signing. There was no indication of the Bengals agreeing to honor Williams' trade request.
As this is a developing story, there has been no indication from the Tennessee Titans if they are interested in Williams. Still, as part of their free agency process, they will likely enquire about the cost.
Depending on that cost, this could be a positive development and the opportunity to strike. At the same time, the iron is hot to add another player who could help fix the team's current line issues.
